A Green Comet Milkweed (Asclepias viridiflora) Of Our Very Own

The plants, which had been in the open field, were now in the shelter of a couple of pine saplings

Green Comet Milkweed (Asclepias viridiflora) Of Our Very Own
Walton County, GA

We knew we had a cluster several Green Comet Milkweed plants. However, every year, when the plants bloomed, deer would nip the flowers. I’d gotten to the point that I wasn’t checking the plants any more. So I was surprised when W told me there were both flowers and seedpods on the plants this year.
