Bird-eye Speedwell (Veronica persica)

Another wildflower I almost missed. The flowers are less than 1/4-inch in diameter. The blue color of the flowers ‘disappears’ in the green of the foliage.

The patch of Bird-eye Speedwell. It's easy to see how I'd miss it.

The leaves are opposite

As the plant grows, blooms develop in the leaf axils

Bird-eye Speedwell (Veronica persica) is native to Eurasia. I grows throughout most of the United States and Canada.

Glad you're enjoying wandering around here. Don't get lost. :-)
The wildflowers are a 'project' so that I could learn about what we had here. It has been/is fun. I keep finding new flowers.
